Lance Duvall

Senior Consultant

Lance has over thirty years of technology consulting and implementation experience with the last twenty spent dedicated to serving the association and non-profit industry. He has earned the reputation among this community as one of the leading I.T. consultants in the field with an emphasis on delivering results on time and on budget.

Prior to joining COOPER CONSULTING in 1996, Lance was a Senior Associate at Booz|Allen|Hamilton where he provided project management and technical services in the development and implementation of large scale software projects for the Department of Defense and several Civilian Services sectors of the Government.

Lance has extensive experience in both information technology and association management — from leading enterprise-wide technology audits and developing association-specific functional software requirements to helping association clients align their business processes with their management structure and their technology support structure. He has even served as interim CIO for client organizations on occasion.

Clients praise Lance’s thoughtful leadership skills and his ability to “coach” them to better understand highly technical challenges. Some of this prowess is due to his background in teaching, having earned both bachelors and masters degrees in Education. The son of a high school Principal and NFL football prospect, Lance began his career as a public school teacher in physical education, before changing careers to pursue his passion for Information Technology. He played baseball for Prince George’s Community College and continues his love for sports as a fan of the Baltimore Orioles, Washington Nationals and Washington Redskins.
